An Indian fashion influencer named Nancy Tyagi made her red carpet debut at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in France wearing a self-made outfit. This made her the first person to don a self-created outfit in the festival’s history! Tyagi, who is well-known for her DIY (do-it-yourself) fashion content on social media, attended the event wearing a pink gown that weighed 20kgs. She created the heavily ruffled gown from scratch in around a month using 1,000mts of fabric. Tyagi’s second outfit for the festival was a hand-embroidered saree that was also self-created. The 23-yearold hails from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh and currently lives in Delhi.
Nancy Tyagi carved a place for herself in history by creating her own outfit for the Red Carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in France. What lessons can you learn from her? E-mail your note along with your photograph to [email protected] to be featured in the ‘From You to Usʼ section of RobinAge.
