- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched a 4,410kg satellite into space, which is expected to aid the Indian Navy with advanced communication systems.
- The CMS-03 satellite was positioned in the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) by the LVM3-M5 rocket, also called ‘Bahubali’.
- The satellite, which is the heaviest communication satellite to be sent to the GTO by India, uses technologies and elements developed indigenously by the country.
- Designed to facilitate connectivity in India and the surrounding ocean areas, CMS-03’s launch demonstrates India’s advancement in the field of satellite missions.
