India and Indonesia have strengthened bilateral ties by signing agreements across various sectors including education, defence and technology. These developments were announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Indonesia in July. During the visit, PM Modi announced a plan to connect the countries’ digital payment systems, facilitating convenient transactions between the two countries. This effort will simplify travel and enhance business opportunities. Among the other key agreements was the defence agreement between Indonesia and Brahmos Aerospace for the supply of the Brahmos missile system to Indonesia.
