An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras named Pavan Davuluri has been appointed as the head of Microsoft’s Surface and Windows groups. Microsoft’s Surface and Windows groups were being led by Davuluri and Mikhail Parakhin respectively but Parakhin’s decision to explore different opportunities has led Davuluri to take charge of both the groups. Davuluri began working with Microsoft as a reliability component manager and has been associated with the company for over two decades. He completed his Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland, USA, and has worked in various capacities within Microsoft including corporate vice president of Windows Silicon and Systems Integration.
