Researchers recently found that pesticides have been harming a range of other creatures including fish, animals, fungi and birds in addition to killing intended pests. According to the study, pesticides are causing harm to more than 800 creatures in aquatic and terrestrial environments. These pesticides, comprising fungicides, herbicides and insecticides, harm creatures by impacting their capacity for movement, hindering their metabolism and restricting their growth. To deal with this issue, researchers have urged people to minimise the use of pesticides. They have also suggested employing other techniques to control pests such as using nets to protect plants and attracting birds, frogs and other creatures that feed on pests.
