This book offers a brilliant showcase of must-know places in Mumbai. The writer has used the letters of the alphabet to explore the city in a child-friendly manner. She has also interspersed chapters with interesting nuggets of history. For example, did you know that Banganga Tank is connected to the Ramayana! Or that Esplanade Mansion, which sadly lies in ruins today, was the venue for India’s first film screening! Our favourite chapter is the one on Irani cafés, where the writer talks about the signs on the walls of many Parsi-run restaurants in Mumbai—*No sitting long *No talking loud *No free advice. This book is a must-read!
