The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the discovery of gold deposits in the Aba Al-Raha area and copper deposits in the Al-Madiq area of the city of Medina. According to officials, these deposits are expected to attract foreign and domestic investments and create more than 4,000 jobs, strengthening the country’s economy. According to the country’s geologists, there are more than 5,300 mining sites in Saudi Arabia, which include deposits of gem-stones, building materials and metals. The country plans to prioritise the development of its mining sector as an important part of its Vision 2030 plan.
