The Poison Garden, a garden in Northumberland in England, houses over 100 varieties of the world’s most toxic plants such as Wolf’s Bane, Monkshood and Ricin. Visitors are forbidden from smelling, touching or tasting these plants. The garden was developed in 2005 when the Duchess of Northumberland, Jane Percy, hired a well-known landscape architect named Jacques Wirtz to change the Christmas tree-laden stretch into something rare. People are allowed to visit the place, but only through a guided tour.
