India and Nepal deliberated on enhancing cooperation in the railway sector through the 8th Joint Working Group meeting and the 10th Project Steering Committee meeting that took place in Kathmandu, Nepal, in June. The meetings included discussions on the Raxaul Kathmandu Broad Gauge Railway Link, a project that is expected to improve travel for passengers, including tourists. Additionally, officials discussed the proposed Janakpur-Ayodhya section, which is expected to enhance pilgrim travel to the locations, and other projects such as the Jogbani-Biratnagar rail link, which will enhance trade routes between the countries.
