- The BRICS Women’s Working Group (WWG) Meeting took place in Kochi, Kerala, in July, convening representatives from several countries including Indonesia, Brazil, Russia, China and India.
- The event, spanning two days, focussed on a range of matters associated with enhancing opportunities for women.
- The meeting, hosted under India’s BRICS Chairship 2026, included discussions on ways to enhance women’s skills and encourage women’s leadership.
- It served as a platform for BRICS member countries to share knowledge across areas and bolster their relationship. The BRICS Ministerial Meeting took place shortly after the BRICS WWG meeting.
