Researchers have innovated an electric bandage that expedites the process of wound healing, offering costeffective treatment options for patients. This bandage is equipped with a biocompatible battery and electrodes and treats slow-healing wounds with the use of an electric field. Water is used to trigger the battery’s operation. According to researchers, this bandage speeds up wound healing by 30% in comparison with traditional bandages and can benefit diabetic patients.
