The Gurugram district food safety officer has taken action against La Forestta cafe-cum-restaurant following an alarming incident where five individuals were mistakenly served dry ice instead of mouth freshener. The notice issued mandates a response within 15 days to explain why their licence should not be revoked or suspended due to grave oversight. The affected patrons, who experienced vomiting and mouth bleeding, had visited the restaurant on the night of March 3. Dry ice, known for its cooling properties, is composed of solid carbon dioxide and poses significant health risks if ingested.
