Sanika Kotecha and Nayra Goradia, Class 4, Aditya Birla World Academy
Candles, diyas, there are everywhere
You’ve all dressed up in traditional wear
Firecrackers bursting in the sky, we all buy the rangoli dye
Goddess Lakshmi brings luck
While Ram returns from his tiring trek through muck
He shoots Ravan’s head with a bow and arrow
They may be friends with a bunch of sparrows
Sita, Ram, and Lakshman bring return
Ravan gets such a burn
As people celebrate good over evil
These days people might find the battle illegal
As we end this poem of Diwali
Now let’s all put on our sari
Now one more word before we leave
This is a season you can never deceive!
