A startup named Taza Aya has developed a device that protects wearers from airborne viruses using an air curtain. The device comprises a hard hat with nozzles that release treated air, forming a curtain around the face of the user.
This curtain kills viruses that the user comes in contact with. This technology also includes a backpack with nonthermal plasma, which is responsible for killing viruses, a battery, electronics and an air handler. The air curtain acts like an invisible mask and can be used by workers in factories, farms and other such settings to protect them from viruses that cause respiratory diseases.
