The Delhi Transport Corporation is all set to welcome 100% electric-powered buses, which will help to reduce pollution levels and also provide transport solutions. These electric buses will be equipped with hydraulic lifts to allow passengers on wheelchairs to board the bus. They will also have features like GPS trackers, panic buttons and CCTV cameras. Delhi plans to have around 3,500 electric buses operating in the city. The government will equip depots with charging stations. The first set of these buses is expected to be on the road by the end of February 2022.
