Delhi University alumnus Vaibhav Taneja has been appointed as the chief financial officer (CFO) of Tesla, the American automotive company. Taneja will replace Zachary Kirkhorn, who held the position previously. He assumed the role of CFO in addition to his role as the company’s chief accounting officer (CAF). Taneja has been associated with Tesla since 2016 when Tesla acquired SolarCity Corporation, a solar panel developer. Prior to joining SolarCity Corporation, Taneja was associated with PricewaterhouseCoopers for about 17 years. Taneja became a chartered accountant in 2000 and has experience in a variety of industries including media, technology and telecommunications.
