A special mission called ‘Mission Mathematics’ was initiated by the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) in a bid to eliminate students’ fear of mathematics. A two-day exhibition that showcased teaching-learning material in Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Atishi Marlena Singh as part of the initiative. Called ‘Maths is Fun’, this exhibition comprised a variety of innovative teaching and learning materials including math-based games, audio materials and a magic box. The goal of the mission is to make learning mathematics an enjoyable experience. About 9,800 educators from Delhi’s government schools took part in the exhibition.
