Delhi’s public transport infrastructure received a significant boost with the inauguration of the Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur stretch of the Delhi Metro.

  • Delhi’s public transport infrastructure received a significant boost with the inauguration of the Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur stretch of the Delhi Metro.
  • The section, which is part of the metro’s Pink Line, spans 12.3kms. This new section has increased the Pink Line’s length to approximately 71.56kms.
  • With its launch, India has got its first ring metro, providing a convenient travel option to commuters in Delhi and decreasing roadway congestion.
  • The Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur corridor comprises eight elevated stations and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March.
