The construction of Sky Mountain, a circular pavilion designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, has been completed. The structure is located at Haikou Bay in Hainan, China. The building has a rolling white roof that resembles rolling mountains. Its location along the coast allows visitors to admire nature and experience a spectacular view of the sunset. The construction area of the pavilion is over 2,000sq mts, while the indoor public space covers around 800sq mts. The indoor area includes spaces for exhibitions, a book store and a café. Through this structure, the architect aims to promote a relationship between the man-made environment and nature.
