  • Scientists at a USA-based startup named REMspace conducted an experiment through which they demonstrated that two people could communicate with each other while experiencing lucid dreams.
  • Lucid dreams take place during an individual’s rapid eye movement (REM) sleep phase and during this state, the dreamer is aware of the fact that they are asleep and dreaming.
  • For the experiment, scientists employed a specialised system to collect polysomnographic information and monitor the brain waves of two individuals who participated in the experiment.
  • A word was transmitted to the first participant who was experiencing a lucid dream. This word was then conveyed to the second participant through the system and she successfully received it, proving that communicating through dreams is possible.
