The East India Company, a luxury lifestyle brand, made a coin costing approximately ₹192 crore in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. Called ‘The Crown’, the coin was unveiled a few days before September 8, which was the queen’s first death anniversary. The Crown is made of around 4kgs of gold and over 6,400 diamonds and has the queen’s quotes inscribed on it. It has a diameter of over 24cms and features portraits of the late queen by several popular artists including Raphael Maklouf and Mary Gillick.
