The Beijing City Library, which was designed and constructed by Norwegian company Snohetta along with East China Architectural Design Institute (ECADI), China, was recently opened to the public. The library has been designed in a manner that allows visitors to connect with nature. It comprises structures that look like landforms, columns that resemble trees and terraced hill-like structures where visitors can read and interact with others. It also includes conference rooms and performance spaces.
