Novel: Time Traveling with a Hamster by Ross Welford

Rating: 10/10

My Amazing First Novel, Time Travelling with Hamster, is set in a small town in England. It is about a boy named Albert Chaudhary, who belonged to a Punjabi family, but settled in England. He lost his father, Pye, at a very young age. Pye died because of consequences of an accident 12 years ago. To bring his dad back, Albert tried to change the past by using a time machine that his dad made. He tried to save his dad by going into the past, but he failed. But he kept trying.

Language: I found the novel a little bit difficult to read. So, I would give it, word difficulty rating, 7 out of 10. But I liked the plot a lot. The writer described the places, feelings, and scenes very well. He used a lot of words to detail each and every line. There were no pictures but through the sentences I could visualise the scenes in my mind.

My Favourite Character is Albert, because he is very hilarious. I thought I would like to be friends with him. He is brave enough to go back in time without anyone’s help. He took along his pet hamster with him, though. I want a pet too. I like his hamster pet Alan Shearer a lot.

Other Interesting Characters: I like also found his grandpa fascinating. He has an eidetic memory. He remembers each and every word he heard and every moment experienced. I would like to test him on his memory.
