Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Britannia Industries came up with a special design for its Marie Gold biscuit in honour of Indian para-athlete Avani Lekhara. The company rolled out a limited-edition biscuit that was designed to look like Lekhara’s target at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. The biscuits also have her winning shots inscribed on them. Lekhara, who participated in the 10mt air rifle standing SH1 event, had a target that was 4.5cms in width. She underwent rigorous training and displayed remarkable skills, leading to her gold medal victories at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
