To enhance students’ understanding of astronomy, the popular Jantar Mantar observatory in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, will partner with government schools in the state’s capital, Indore, to set up astronomy clubs. The clubs will be furnished with educational material from the observatory and students will attend sessions organised by experts. Observatory visits will provide students with opportunities to witness celestial phenomena, enriching their theoretical understanding. This initiative aims at igniting children’s interest in astronomy and helping them explore career opportunities in the field.
