What you need to do to build a career as an Architect.

An architect is a professional who plans, designs and supervises the construction of buildings, including residential and commercial properties, malls, stadiums and airport terminals. An architect should be creative and should possess good communication and leadership skills.

To be an architect one must complete:

  • Class 12 preferably in science
  • 5-year bachelor’s degree in architecture (BArch)
  • 2-year master’s degree in architecture (MArch)

Career Options:
An architect can work in an architecture firm, an infrastructure-related government department, an engineering or construction firm or an architecture college. They can also be self-employed and run their own architecture practice.
Job Roles:
Assistant architect, architect, senior architect, interior designer, project architect, landscape architect, commercial architect, residential architect and professor.
