Two ancient stone idols were found near the Nalanda University in Bihar. The idols, which are believed to be approximately 1,200 years old, were found during the de-silting of the Tarsinh pond close to Nalanda Mahavira, a world heritage site. The de-silting was taking place under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali project, which was launched by the government of Bihar for the preservation of the environment and the conservation of water. Archaeologists plan to display the idols at the Nalanda Museum in Bihar.
