A woman, out on a walk, discovered more than 2,000 coins that are believed to be from the Middle Ages in Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic. According to archaeologists, the coins are made of a variety of metals including silver, lead, copper and trace metals and are from the period between 1085 and 1107. Archaeologists believe warfare and political instability in the region at the time could have pushed someone to hide these coins at the spot. The coins will be examined further and displayed in an exhibition in 2025.
