As growing, developing individuals, it can be quite stressful to get used to sudden and often unpleasant changes in our lives. Therefore, it becomes a priority to relax once in a while, a simple exercise that can calm our deranged, befuddled minds.
Speaking from a purely personal perspective, I think that a look into yourself is enough to get you started (it only takes 15 to 30 minutes per day). It begins with self-discovery, a stage where you acquire information from various sources—books, articles, newspapers, magazines, online websites and various others. Among the varied topics mentioned in the said sources, select a topic of personal interest.
Once you have chosen a topic that interests you, try gathering data about that topic from credible sources. Collect and consume this information with concentration and precision. Keep doing this for a while.
When you have collected information about your subject of interest, try testing yourself by asking yourself questions about that topic. As an example, you can use me. A classic example of a history nerd, I have a rather surprising taste in ichthyology. I try to learn about the classifications of marine organisms, chiefly fish. I gather information about fish of great economic importance, fundamental genera among fish and fossil fishes, among many others.
Devoting a few minutes of your time to subjects of your interest can serve as helpful respite amidst your busy, study-ridden life. What I have mentioned here may seem to many a mundane task. As I had mentioned, however, you should learn to seek out your interest—a topic that truly calls to you. Look into yourself, and your personality.
