To be an air traffic controller, one must clear:
- Class 12 in the science stream with physics, chemistry and biology.
- Bachelor of engineering (BE) in either electronics or telecommunication or bachelor of science (BSc) in physics.
- Master’s degree in electronics, telecommunication or radio physics.
- The civil air traffic control entrance examination conducted by civil aviation authorities.
- Training at the Civil Aviation Training College.
