Italian luxury fashion house Fendi partnered with Kengo Kuma, a Japanese architect, to create a unique line of accessories that was displayed during Fendi’s Spring Summer 2024 menswear show in Florence, Italy. Kuma made use of natural materials and old Japanese craft techniques to create new iterations of the Fendi Flow Sneakers, Fendi’s Peekaboo bag and the Baguette Soft Trunk. The sneakers and bags were made from bamboo, traditional washi paper, birch bark and olive trees. Yatara ami, a traditional Japanese weaving method, was used to create Fendi’s Peekaboo bag and the sneakers.
