Bobby’s Magical Sandals
Bobby, a little eight-year-old girl, loved buying new sandals. Her mother, a rich woman, took her to buy new sandals every week. One day, Bobby saw a pair of golden, glittery shoes. She liked them a lot, so her mother bought them for her. As soon as she wore them, they began to glow brighter than before. They took her to a land of delicious candies. She happily collected as much candy as she could. After about 30 minutes, the sandals brought her back to the real world. That’s when she realised they were magical sandals.
“Wakey, wakey, little princess!” Bobby heard someone say. She saw that she was in bed in her nightdress. How surprised she was! But it couldn’t be a dream because the sandals were beside her bed with a little chocolate stain on them.
In the afternoon, while she was thinking about them, the sandals came to life! Bobby was so surprised! The sandals said, “We are a pair of sandals worn by the Good Witch of Heaven. She lost us on Earth. Will you return us to her?” After thinking for a moment, she replied, “Of course!” The sandals were very happy. They teleported Bobby to heaven. It was beautiful! There were fields of red poppies, tiger lilies and golden apples. Bobby was mesmerised! The sandals exclaimed, “We need to find the Good Witch of Heaven, Megan.”
“How does she look?” asked Bobby in wonder.
“She has white skin, green eyes and wears white clothes and a hat,” the sandals replied.
As this was being said, Bobby heard a noise to her right. You won’t believe what it was! Two bees and a wasp were stinging a woman who matched the description. Bobby slowly went closer, afraid the bees might sting her too. She had a fear of bees. When she reached the spot, the bees and the wasp had left and the woman was running into a village full of little mushrooms.
The sandals were very upset, so Bobby decided to follow her. She found the woman reaching out to a detective little mushroom that was made of white marble. Bobby followed her and grabbed her by the arm. “These belong to you!” she said, handing the sandals to her.
The sandals and the witch were overjoyed, but Bobby looked sad.
The witch asked, “Why are you upset?”
Bobby replied, “I loved these talking sandals. I wish I had a pair!”
The witch smiled and gave her another pair, this time silver. The moment she wore them, she was transported back to Earth, appearing in front of her mother, who looked worried. When Bobby’s mother saw her, she kissed her on the cheek and asked, “Where have you been?”
So, Bobby’s mother listened to the curious tale of her daughter’s journey to heaven.
Suddenly, Bobby opened her eyes and saw her mother beside her bed with her breakfast. That’s when she realised it had all been a dream.
