A True Hero

Heroes are courageous and brave
Even though they might end up in a grave
They know the risks yet they do it
And that is how today India is ‘lit’
Heroes are selfless and kind
They use both – strength and mind
They don’t want any recognition
A true hero just wants to solve his mission
Look at Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and Subhash Chandra Bose
Only because of them and many more, India arose
They didn’t think twice about their future
Only wanted the British rule to rupture
The name today Bhagat Singh
Still has quite a ring
He set off two bombs in parliament in broad daylight
Just to tell Indians to fight for ‘Swaraj’ – their birthright
The man who brought science to India – Jagdish Chandra Bose
Because of him the world still grows
He’s called the father of radio science today
His theories blew people’s minds away
Masks and capes for a hero are of no need
To money and fame a hero pays no heed
Heroes want to make the world a better place
That is how a true hero is made.
