A Thunderstorm

Ahmed Abu Turab, Class 6, Saint Xavier’s School, Kaliyaganj

It is showering outside. The thunderclaps, playing out in fantastic symphony, roar in the skies overhead. A mild breeze causes the trees to gently sway and the leaves flutter. Despite the torrent, the road is quite full of activity. As the rain sweeps on, and lightning bolts sing violent melodies in the air, the atmosphere takes on a melancholy glamour. Coconut palms stay true to their nature, swaying but never bending to the speeding currents of wind. The thunderstorm, after hours of constant battering, finally concludes and transitions into a gentle, balmy sky.
