Indian-origin Shefali Razdan Duggal has been sworn in as the US Ambassador to the Netherlands. Duggal was born in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, and moved to Pittsburgh, USA, when she was only two years old. Duggal has a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a master of arts in media ecology. Prior to this, she worked for both major American political parties, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, and leaders such as senators Ted Kennedy and Dianne Feinstein. She also worked as a political analyst at Staton & Hughes, a political strategy firm.
