Raju Srivastava, a popular Indian comedian and politician, passed away on September 21 at the age of 58. Srivastava was born in Kanpur. He joined the Hindi film industry as an actor in the 1980s, making his debut with ‘Tezaab’. In 2015, he rose to fame after participating in the comedy show, ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. He was a part of several popular shows such as ‘Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala’, ‘Gangs of Haseepur’ and ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’. He acted in numerous movies including ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ and ‘Big Brother’. He was known for his mimicry, especially of popular Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan.
