To enhance the leadership qualities of students in Delhi’s government schools, the Directorate of Education (DoE) has launched a pilot project inducting students into a Students Advisory Board (SAB). Two students per section from classes 7, 8, 9 and 11 will be elected as members of the SAB through intra-section elections. The members will be assisted by two teacher coordinators. The SAB will act as ‘a voice’ of the students and will plan, manage and implement a variety of school activities. The project has been initiated on a pilot basis in 20 schools in Delhi from September 3 and will go on till May 11, 2023.
