A 600-year-old miniature Bible was found by a metal detectorist in Yorkshire, UK. The Bible, which is thought to date back to the 15th century, was found on a farm. According to experts, it is an exceptionally unique artefact that is believed to have been owned by a medieval aristocrat or a royal. The small golden bible is 1.5cms in size and weighs around 5gms; it could be worth more than £1,00,000. It was found on land that was once owned by Richard III, who ruled from 1483 to 1485, and it is speculated that it could have been owned by a female relative of his wife Anne Neville. The Bible is engraved with images of St Leonard and St Margaret, patron saints of childbirth, and could have been used as an object for protection during childbirth.
