Indian director, producer and lyricist Sawan Kumar Tak passed away on August 25 at the age of 86. During his career, Tak worked with popular singers such as Asha Bhonsle, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and many more. He started his career in the Hindi movie industry as a producer in the year 1967 with the film ‘Naunihal’. ‘Saajan Bina Suhagan’, ‘Bewafa Se Waffa’ and ‘Chand Kaa Tukda’ are some of his most popular films. He debuted as a director with the film ‘Gomti Ke Kinare’, which starred Mumtaz and Meena Kumari, in 1972. He wrote lyrics for songs of movies including ‘Sanam Bewafa’, ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ and many others.
