A study conducted by McGill University, Canada, has found a link between a person’s posture and their mood and ability to make decisions. Unlike studies on the subject conducted earlier, this study’s participants were unaware that their posture was being adjusted and studied. The study involved participants engaging in a game that involved taking risks. Researchers found that the group of participants who sat in an upright position during the activity took bigger risks than the group that had a hunched posture. According to researchers, the group with the upright posture also experienced positive feelings, such as pride. The study reflects how an individual’s posture in daily situations can affect their behaviour and emotions.
