The Indian Air Force (IAF) announced that the assembly of the C-295 military aircraft has been completed, marking a considerable leap in India’s military aircraft production capabilities. The aircraft, which is the first to be produced privately in India, is now prepared for flight testing.
The aircraft is atactical military aircraft that was assembled at the Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Vadodara, Gujarat.
It is equipped to carry out a range of functions, including aiding in rescue efforts and carrying cargo and troops.
It has been assembled by the aeronautics company Airbus in association with Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), aligning with India’s self-reliance goals.
