This is the 39th book in the Asterix series. The plot is set in Rome where the geographer Cartographus informs Julius Caesar of the existence of a beast that is half-eagle and half-lion with horse’s ears. They call the beast Griffin. Kalashnikova, a Sarmatian Amazon woman, cautions Caesar against capturing the Griffin, but Caesar goes ahead and sends Roman soldiers to capture the beast anyway. Getafix, Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix get involved as the Griffin is a sacred animal that has to be saved. What happens next? Does Caesar get the beast? Or does Asterix save the day? Read this comic book to know more.
