Aara and the Magical Garden

Aayat Mumtaz Hussain, Class 3, Gurukul Group of Educational Wing, Assam

Once upon a time, there was a kind girl named Aara. Everyone loved her because she had a big heart. One morning, while Aara was fast asleep, she heard a soft tap-tap-tap at her door. She felt a little bit scared, but when she opened the door, she saw a cute kitten! The kitten led Aara to a secret, magical garden that had been hidden for a long time. Aara was amazed! There were bright, beautiful flowers everywhere. Suddenly, she heard a gentle voice say: “This is the Garden of Kindness. If you see someone who is hurt, give them a flower from this garden. It will help them feel better.”

Aara was surprised. “Who said that?” she asked. Just then, a message appeared in the blue sky saying “It is God.”

From that day on, the kitten knocked on Aara’s door every morning at 6:00 AM. Aara was so excited! Every day, she found new, colorful flowers hiding in the bushes.
One day, Aara was playing and accidentally bumped into her friend. Her friend’s head hurt, and she felt a little sad. Aara remembered the magic voice. First, she got a bandage to help her friend. Then, she ran to the garden, picked a pretty red rose, and gave it to her. As soon as her friend took the flower, her wound healed right away!

As the years went by, Aara and the kitten grew up together. The kitten became a big, fluffy cat. One day, Aara’s family moved to a new house nearby. The cat didn’t know Aara had moved, so she went to the old house and knocked on the bedroom door.

A girl named Lily lived there now. Lily was Aara’s best friend! When Lily opened the door, the cat looked up and asked, “Where is Aara?” Lily smiled because she knew exactly where Aara lived. She led the cat down the street to Aara’s new home. When they arrived, Aara was so happy to see her friend and her cat together again. It was the best surprise ever!

Aara realized she had never given the kitten a name. “I will call you Kitty!” she said. Kitty purred loudly because she finally had a name. They stayed the best of friends and lived happily ever after.
