The Maharashtra government has made it compulsory for students from all boards in schools across Maharashtra to sing the state’s anthem as part of the morning assembly every day. After singing the national anthem, the students will have to sing two stanzas of the state anthem, ‘Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza’. The goal of this initiative, which falls under the 100-day action plan for the school education department of Maharashtra, is to acquaint students with Maharashtra’s cultural heritage.
