MATERIALS

  • Straws
  • Toothpick or satay stick
  • Thick white paper
  • Sketch pens
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
  • Tape
  • Woollen thread
  • Key ring

METHOD

  • Cut a straw into 4 pieces in pairs of 2. 1 pair must be smaller than the other.
  • Pierce the toothpick or satay stick through the centre of all 4 straw pieces as shown. Make sure to leave space at the top and the bottom of the toothpick and in between the straws.
  • Draw an outline of a fish’s tail and face on the thick white paper. Cut them out.
  • Colour the tail and the face and draw a pair of eyes.
  • Stick the face on 1 end and the tail on the other end of the toothpick.
  • You can either make a hole on the fishtail and pass a woollen thread through it or use tape to stick the woollen thread on the head.
  • Tie a key ring to the woollen thread. Your fish keychain is ready!
