I’d sit, forehead clutched, with my Maths homework,
I’ve got it!’ I’d exclaim, leaping up with a jerk.
Not so fast,’ said the questions with a smirk,
Launching more problems at me, smooth as clockwork.
What is this? I must be hallucinating!
I cried as my homework threw more, proudly beaming.
You’re no match for me, I’m the king!
My homework bellowed with a deadly swing.
Take Integers, Geometry, and Algebra so grand!
I can tackle you, just as planned!
I hurled answers and solutions, the perfect debate,
As my homework shrunk, I’d cheer, Checkmate!
I woke up in a daze, realizing I had dreamt,
But I pondered what this uncanny dream meant.
