I entered the room, wondering what I would see
But I was met with darkness closing in on me.
I opened my eyes wide, tried to push it away
But it strengthened its grip around me day by day.
I tried to find something to hold on to
but there was nothing around, nothing I could do.
I could only think about the things I liked
The people I loved, before all that was wiped.
As I did this, I realised I saw some light,
I got up and went on, I hadn’t lost this fight.
I finally emerged at the other end of the room,
What I saw immediately pulled me out of my gloom.
It was something that I had always wanted,
My own heaven, with all the dreams I had planted.
My favourite books and movies, everything for which I care,
But most of all, my family was there!
