A Japanese company called Murase Kabanko has created a randoseru backpack using waste materials from the manufacturing of school bags. The company has modelled the bag after Samurai armour, honouring Japanese culture. Usually crafted from leather, randoseru bags are firm-sided backpacks that are known for their outstanding durability. These bags are often used by schoolchildren. Murase Kabanko’s new bag features colours that were used in the garments of Samurai warriors such as brown, black and red. The bag also features faces of warriors, brass hooks and buttons and leather pieces that replicate scale armour.
