In December, the Uttar Pradesh government began a new initiative for PM SHRI Schools that involves conducting cultural and sports events at the school and district levels. This initiative aims to support the holistic development of students and includes organising drama, dance, football, kabaddi and various other cultural and sports contests. Through this effort, the government is seeking to enhance students’ overall health and cultivate different values and qualities including discipline and leadership. The government has dedicated a budget of ₹2.5 crore for this initiative that encourages students to exhibit their unique skills.
