A magical fair has been organised in our town for many years. Every December, to celebrate Christmas and New Year, the magical fair is organised by our town authority.
It stays for 10 days. The fair starts generally from 5th December to 15th December. We enjoy these ten days by eating different types of sweets, playing with illustrating toys and reading a lot of story books and comics.
In this December month, we have no pressure of studies and exams. So, we can enjoy this fair, without any tension. There are no restrictions from our elders. The days pass slowly and we get heavenly pleasure.
Every year, we go to this fair and enjoy the surroundings. There are many small sweet stalls owned by sweet makers. They pack warm and hot rasagullas and gulabjamuns for us. But, a packet of Jalebi is a must for us. The packet of Jalebi becomes empty before we can even reach our home.
Then, we move to the stalls of the household. Every year, we buy a dozen of cups from the small shops of household. Our mother becomes busy in there, searching for the best cups.
We start getting bored, but our minds become again fresh when we move to the toys selling stalls.
Sometimes, we buy a kitchen set and sometimes, we buy a football but we become very happy to see the well-equipped stalls even before buying anything.
Our eyes were amazed after seeing merry-go-rounds, car rolling, Dragon rides and other different rides.
To add more adventurous taste, we move to the book stalls, where we buy a lot of books and comics. But, the books remain interesting until we come back home.
Everything in the fair is attractive and illusive. But, the thing that distinct the fair from other fairs is “The Creative Zone”. In this Creative Zone, we can explore different things. It can be hilarious, horror, mystery or informative.
This year, the theme is “Spooky Ghosts”. We enter the zone, there are many ghosts roaming around here and there.
I did not get scared after seeing them but my little sister screamed after seeing a monster, moving towards her. Her scream frightened everyone even the ghosts.
Then, I see the monster, who is trying to scare my sister, changes his position.
We burst out in laughter after seeing this incident.
We end up seeing the fair, by buying the beautiful handmade baskets from the basket makers. We love the beautiful fair and I call it – “The Magical Fair for New Year.”
